Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2, 2026

Knowledge Designs LLC (“Knowledge Designs,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and in the course of providing managed IT, web design, and marketing services, and how we use and protect it.

Information we collect

  • Contact information you provide. Name, email address, phone number, company name, and anything you include in a message when you contact us or request a quote.
  • Usage information. Standard web analytics such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, and referring site. We use this in aggregate to understand how the site is used.
  • Service data. When you become a client, we may access systems, accounts, and data that you authorize us to manage as part of the engagement.

How we use information

  • To respond to inquiries and provide quotes.
  • To deliver, support, and improve the services you hire us for.
  • To send service communications (maintenance windows, renewals, security notices).
  • To improve this website and our offerings.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Client systems and data

As a managed service provider, we treat access to client systems as a position of trust. Access is limited to what the engagement requires, protected by unique credentials and multi-factor authentication where supported, and revoked when an engagement ends. Client business data is never used for any purpose other than delivering the agreed services.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no tracking cookies. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

We use Google Analytics 4 to count page views and see which pages people find useful. It is configured with browser storage switched off (client_storage: 'none'), so it writes no _ga cookies and cannot follow you between visits or across other websites. Advertising features and cross-device signals are disabled. The trade-off is ours to carry: we cannot tell a returning visitor from a new one, and we would rather have the weaker numbers.

If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, analytics does not load at all. No request reaches Google, and nothing about your visit is measured.

The one thing this site does store in your browser is a single entry called kd‑theme, remembering whether you chose the light or dark appearance. It never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it.

Who else touches your data

We would rather name these than describe them vaguely:

  • Google Analytics 4. Page-view and event measurement, cookieless, as described above.
  • Web3Forms. Delivers the contact and appointment forms to our inbox. It receives whatever you type into those forms, and nothing else.
  • Our web host. Serves the pages and keeps standard server logs.
  • ScreenConnect. Remote support sessions, and only when you start one and let us in.

Typefaces are served from this website rather than from Google Fonts, so simply reading a page does not disclose your IP address to a third party. Each provider receives only what it needs to do its job and is bound by its own privacy obligations.

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as the purpose requires: responding to an inquiry, maintaining a client relationship, or meeting legal and accounting obligations. After that we delete or anonymize it.

Security

Security is our trade. We apply the same practices we recommend to clients: encryption in transit, access controls, patching, monitored backups, and least-privilege access to any personal information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information with commercially reasonable safeguards.

Your choices and rights

You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to legal retention requirements). Email [email protected] and we will respond promptly. We do not charge for this and we do not require you to create an account to ask.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To opt out of analytics entirely, switch on Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track in your browser. This site checks for both before loading anything.

Children’s privacy

This website and our services are directed at businesses and are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
