Accessibility Statement

Last updated: July 19, 2026

Knowledge Designs builds websites for a living, so we hold our own to the standard we recommend to clients: usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability or the technology they browse with.

Our standard

We aim for conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. This is an ongoing commitment — we review the site against these guidelines as content and features change.

What we’ve implemented

  • Semantic structure — proper landmarks, headings, and labeled navigation so screen readers can move through the page predictably.
  • Keyboard access — interactive elements (menus, accordion questions, pricing toggle, hover previews) are reachable and operable by keyboard, with visible focus states.
  • Color contrast — near-black text on white, checked to meet AA contrast ratios, with color never used as the only carrier of meaning.
  • Reduced motion — animations, scrolling marquees, and scroll effects are disabled for visitors whose devices request reduced motion.
  • Text alternatives — meaningful images carry descriptive alt text; background videos are decorative, muted, and hidden from assistive technology, with their information available as text.
  • Responsive text — the layout supports zoom and large text sizes without loss of content or function.

Known limitations

Some sections use ambient background video for atmosphere. These play silently and convey no essential information, but if any element gives you trouble, we want to know about it.

Feedback

If you encounter a barrier on this site — something you can’t read, reach, or operate — please tell us. We take reports seriously and fix verified issues promptly.

For our clients

Accessibility isn’t just policy for this site — it’s part of how we build. Sites we design for clients follow the same practices, because accessible sites reach more customers and rank better.
